A legacy unfolds
The story of Inzozi Africa began in 2019, when a family with a dream rented a modest residential house in the heart of Kigali City. From these humble beginnings, their vision of creating a warm, welcoming space for travelers started to take shape.
What started as a small family venture has grown into a lasting legacy, a brand rooted in family values and a deep sense of purpose, offering guests exceptional hospitality and unforgettable wildlife experiences across Africa.
Today, Inzozi Africa owns a property in Kigali, providing guests with elevated comfort and unique experiences in the city. Looking ahead, the company is planning to expand its presence to Nyungwe National Park, bringing travelers closer to Rwanda’s rich natural and cultural heritage while continuing to uphold the same standard of warm hospitality and meaningful experiences.
Marie Claire Dushimumukiza
Marie Claire Dushimumukiza is an accomplished business and thought leader with a strong track record and passion for advancing sustainable tourism and preserving cultural heritage in Rwanda and across Africa. She is the co-founder of Inzozi Africa Group Ltd, a multifaceted tourism enterprise encompassing accommodation facilities, a tour company, and a consultancy firm. Marie Claire has provided strategic advice and coordination to leading global, public, and private organizations in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
As the Country Manager for the UN Global Compact in Rwanda, she supports businesses in integrating sustainability into their operations, focusing on gender equality, human rights, climate action, and anti-corruption, while promoting the universal Ten Principles and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She also serves as Technical Advisor to Nyungwe Culture Village Cooperative (NCVC), a community-based tourism initiative near Nyungwe National Park, and sits on the advisory board of Resonate, a Rwandan non-profit social enterprise dedicated to unlocking the leadership potential of women and girls in East Africa.
Roger Hategekimana
Roger Hategekimana is an accomplished businessman and thought leader with extensive experience and a strong passion for advancing tourism and conservation in Africa. He is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Inzozi Africa Group Ltd., a company dedicated to promoting sustainable tourism and strengthening the hospitality industry.
With over 21 years of service as a Community Conservation Warden at the Rwanda Development Board – Tourism and Conservation Department (Nyungwe National Park), Roger has extensive experience working with tourism and conservation stakeholders and donors. He played a key role in implementing the tourism revenue-sharing scheme, safeguarding biodiversity, and fostering sustainable tourism through strong community engagement.
